Fred Koch, founder of Koch Industries Inc., Wichita, Kansas, was also a founding member in the radical right-wing organization the John Birch Society. His biological legacies, particularly Charles and David, were indoctrinated on JBS philosophy, which historically opposed the entire civil rights movement and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, in particular.

In his televised farewell address almost 51 years ago, outgoing President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned of the dangerous influence of the “military-industrial complex”, as a potential threat to our democratic processes and freedom. In view of Ike’s statement it is little wonder why Robert Welch, organizing founder of the John Birch Society and a wealthy businessman, called President Ike an “agent of the communist conspiracy." It’s a view that Koch family patriarch, Fred, probably shared as one of the 12 charter members of the JBS.

Fred C. Koch built his fortune building up Stalin's Communist Russia from 1929 through 1933, while Stalin was murdering millions of his people. Fred Koch did not turn against his benefactor until the cold war when it was fashionable (profitable) to join the McCarthyism Crusade against Communists as one of the 12 Charter Member-Founders of the John Birch Society.

The Occupy Wall Street movement spread worldwide this weekend, with demonstrations in 950 cities and 82 countries, but Republican presidential hopeful (Koch-employee) Herman Cain said today he doesn't understand what they are after and that their anger is misdirected.


"What is their message? That's what's unclear," (Koch-employee) Cain, the new frontrunner in the GOP race according to an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, said on NBC's "Meet the Press." "If their message is let's punish the rich, I don't empathize with that message. They should be protesting the White House."


Just days ago, the protesters marched to the homes of some of the wealthiest "1 percent" as the protesters call them, including Rupert Murdoch and David Koch, whose support has helped fund (Koch-employee) Cain's campaign.

(Koch-employee) Cain has denounced protesters, saying that they should blame themselves -- not corporations or the super-rich -- if they are unemployed. In a New York Times op-ed he wrote that they are hypocrites who would "rather have a handout than work." ...

“I know the Koch brothers. The Koch brothers helped to start an organization called Americans For Prosperity and I did some speaking when they were starting that organization. I am very proud of the relationship I have with the Koch Brothers and Americans for Prosperity.”

The other day I told you about Herman Cain's only disclosed economic adviser, (Koch partner) Rich Lowrie of Cleveland, Ohio, who is not an economist as Cain falsely asserted during the last debate but a wealth manager for a division of Wells Fargo.  Herman Cain's economic adviser is not an economist (Politico):

[A]ccording to his LinkedIn page holds an accountancy degree from Case Western Reserve University. Lowrie also spent three years on the advisory board of the conservative third-party group Americans For Prosperity. [funded by the Koch brothers] ...

...  While Cain is quick to promote his career at the helm of the Godfather’s Pizza chain, his ties to AFP aren’t something the candidate appears eager to highlight.

His campaign did not respond to repeated messages seeking comment between Thursday and Sunday, and Cain does not include his AFP work on his biography on his website.

But Cain continues to work with the group.

While several other candidates will be at an Iowa Republican Party dinner on Nov. 4, Cain is scheduled to be in Washington mingling with activists at AFP’s annual “Defending the American Dream” summit. He is the only confirmed presidential candidate for the event.

AFP spokesman Levi Russell said Cain has spoken at dozens of AFP rallies and events over the years to support a number of the group’s activities. AFP has often covered his travel expenses or paid a “pretty modest honorarium” but he has not been paid since becoming a presidential candidate, he said.

- Cain held an official position in the Koch-funded group Americans for Prosperity: Dating back to 2005, Cain led Americans for Prosperity’s new “Prosperity Expansion Project.” The position allowed Cain to barnstorm the country, giving speeches, holding town halls, and sharpening his skills for an eventual presidential bid.

- Cain’s campaign manager is the former president of Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity Wisconsin chapter: Prior to becoming Cain’s campaign manager and chief of staff, Mark Block served as the president of Americans for Prosperity’s Wisconsin chapter. At the same time Block was serving in that position, he is credited with “talk[ing] Herman Cain into running for president”. As AFP-Wisconsin president in 2006, Block even tried to convince Cain to run for president in the 2008 election because of the former pizza executive’s rousing speeches at Americans for Prosperity events. Block has a history of electoral dirty tricks and once fined $15,000 for violating Wisconsin election law.

- Cain attended the Koch Brothers’ private biannual meeting in Palm Springs: In January, the Kochs hosted one of their biannual meetings of top corporate and political figures in order to coordinate strategy and raise money for the conservative movement. Cain was among the small group of conservative politicians invited to attend.

- Cain traveled to Wisconsin in support of the Koch-funded union-busting bill: During the apex of the fight in Wisconsin over Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) union-busting bill this spring, Cain traveled to the Badger State to support the conservative power-grab, speaking at a rally in February. The Koch brothers were major players in Wisconsin’s anti-union push.

- Cain headlined a Koch-funded anti-climate rally in New York: As other presidential candidates focused on glad-handing with voters in Iowa and New Hampshire, Cain took time out in June to travel to New York and headline a Koch-backed anti-climate rally. The rally, held by Americans for Prosperity, protested New York’s involvement in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, an important project to fight global warming that has been long-opposed by the Koch Brothers.

- Cain was a featured speaker at the Koch-funded RightOnline conference: Cain has been a featured speaker at RightOnline, the Koch-backed conservative conference, for the past two years.

When you have a a big pile of millions of dollars, I expect you do a background check on who you hire to be treasurer of it. We can be pretty sure David Koch (one of the infamous "Killer Koch Brothers") knew who Tom Posey was when he hired him as treasurer for "Citizens for a Sound Economy" funded at over $5,000,000 per year.

The secretive Koch Brothers don't like people seeing into their criminal activities, and CSE was tight about public revelations about who all contributed and some of the seamier officers they hired.
